Also, you should only offer him a small cube with an edge length of 1 cm at the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, closely monitor for any diarrhea or gastrointestinal problems. For young hamsters up to the eighth week of life, you should completely avoid tomatoes. This is because the young organism does not yet cope as well with the acid and the high amount of fiber as is the case with the old hamster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-so-f%C3%BCtterst-du-deinem-hamster-tomaten\">How to feed your hamster tomatoes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If your hamster has never eaten tomatoes, watch your pet closely. If he accepts the tomato, he eats it immediately, or he carries it to one of his hiding places to eat it later.
